Castello di Lagopesole

The Castle of Lagopesole, built along the Vitalba Valley, was the hunting residence of the imperator Federico II. It’s divided in residential and military part. In the centre of the minor court is the robust donjon. Inside it is possible to visit the permanent exhibition with findings from medieval excavations, and, from 2011, the multimedial museum "Il Mondo di Federico II", dedicated to the famous imperator.
